front strut noise

After correcting issues with worn out rear strut bushings. I still have a noise at the front left. A noise like a clump of loose washers when changing pavement grading like going uphill on ramps, or small bumps. It's definitely up front this time.
Even though 3 years ago front upper control arm bushes were replaced (they were frozen causing a teeth-jarring metallic sound) with the upper wishbone fulcrum replaced. Shortly afterward about a year or so the front sway bar end links and a left outer tie-rod were also replaced; I think it's time after 12 years for the car to have the front strut bushings replaced. Labor each side is about 2 hours. If someone has some new shocks (newer than mine) to offer please email me privately. The website allows you to when you click on my User.
Just need to convince my mechanic it's necessary even though he doesn't think so. All he replaced recently up front was front stabalizer bushings, the inner bushes of the swar bar, a relatively easy job.
