Front upper control arm bushings, what I did

In case this helps someone.
1. Did not detach the ball joint as shown in the (excellent) video linked elsewhere. No problem doing it with the arm in the car.
2. I used the jack under the bottom of the rotor to keep it from flopping out. Faster than wire.
3. Used a c-clamp to install the bushings (a screwdriver to remove them)
4. Used the 24mm socket (that was with me from removing the bolt) on alternating sides of the bushing to get it seated without jamming the center tube.
5. The odd gotcha is if the large washer on the head end of the bolt can get caught below/above the speed sensor bracket with removing/installing. It's away from where your attention is and so can be perplexing.
6. The shim nearest the head of the bolt has enough room to 'hang' the washer and shim on the tip of the bolt, then push in.
7. The other shims now are pretty tight fit and I was able to tap them into place with a screwdriver from the side, bolt went right in.
8. Wiggling the assembly from the brake/rotor is helpful as you pull/push the bolt out/in.
9. If you got grease on the rotor, clean it with brake cleaner so the pad doesn't get contaminated
Whole job was easier than I thought. 2000 XK8 Coupe. Good luck!
