front windows adjustment issues.

front windows adjustment issues.
I am having an issue with my front windows in that if I have the windows down full and then raise them it pushes the Waist seal off the car.
Looking at the windows closely shows that the windows from the centre running forwards are very close to the mounting lip for the waist seal (I doubt if you could get a playing card between them). I thought it would just need a tweak to the adjustment to fix this but it doesnt appear to be so as the windows seem to fit very well when fully closed and any adjusting would ruin that.
After messing around with thring and thinking about it for a while I had a look at JTIS for how to remove the glass (to see if there was any obvious issue) and while reading through the instructions saw reference to the outer waist reinforcer and 3 buffers. Anyone know what these are and where they are fitted ( and if anyone has one, a part number) ? I am wondering if these buffers are something to do with the positioning of the window as it raises and lowers and I cannot see any sign of them in the drivers door (door card is currently off to fit new speaker and bracket) so could be the issue.
Thanks

Part numbers are GJA1718BA for the little ones, GJA1718AB for the big ones. Interestingly, the big ones appear to be in stock at jaguarclassicparts.com for the outrageous price of 40.32 GBP.
It's not particularly difficult to lift them from existing jag doors of the period by removing the inner and outer weather stripping and grabbing them with needle nose or hemostats while you push the window away from the buffer. Push it down on the buffer to push off of the lip while not accidentally dropping it into the doorwell requiring you take the card off.
You could also ask soughtout1 on ebay, but he may be reticent about relieving one or more from his doors reducing the value of his doors, but can't know without asking.

had a look and found 1 in the bottom of the door as suggested. Are these just friction fit or are they glued on ? if so any recommendations for glue ? I was thinking epoxy to make sure it doesn't fall off again.
I expect I'll find the otherside in the door as well when I open it up.
Thanks Guys
