Default Fuel Injector Cleaning Question...

Hey all! Anyone out there know if a Wynns Fuel Injector cleaning treatment recommended by my dealer ($190.00) is worth the money? I`ve got a 2003 XKR with 40,000 miles. Thanks...

I paid it. But was it worth it, I could not say but it did seem to be quicker. That is probably because I was $190.00 lighter.

First of all I do not do everything the dealer suggests I do. If I think I have a problem with the injectors I add a can of BG’s 44K and all is well again. You have other products that will work but BG is my preference for $20.00.

Default injector cleaning

i just got my injectors back from http://www.injectorrx.com/

looks like it was worth every cent. half my injectors were 10% or more below optimal flow rate.
They turned them around fast and were really easy to deal with.

i do not have them installed yet as i am waiting for my cometics multi layered steal head gaskets to arrive and i can then put her back together.

I am not a big fan of fixing my car with a can. Unlike some motors where the fuel rails are buried under a plenum; the injectors are right on top of the engine. Why not just pull them and have them cleaned and calibrated?

My car displayed emission leak codes when I used Sea Foam. I do use Sea Foam in my RX-8 and two boats with good results, but the XKR doesen't like it.
