Fuel Pump Part Numbers and JTIS for 2001 XKR
Hello All,
I have been doing a lot of searching and reading on this subject from this forum. I started with a P01646 which, for my 01 XKR and vin, means fuel pump 2 is out. I am now trying to find what replacement fuel pumps I can use? I figured that I would go ahead and replace both while I am in there. My jaguar is a coupe so I am hoping that I can go through the speaker hole. Any help with this would be great. Also is there a new link to get the JTIS? The sticky post link is no longer working.

Hi,
Your P1646 refers to the fuel pump relay, rather than the pump itself:
Try removing and reseating it - or swop it with fuel pump #1 relay in the trunk fusebox:
You can check the secondary pump (#2) by removing the relay for the primary (#1). Member WhiteXKR explains how here:

The mediafire link in the stickies works OK for me. Not sure if you need a number of posts - 10? - before they become active.

When checking the fuel pumps i like to use the Jump Wire method.
Open boot, ignition off, remove both relays, push the jump wire spade into slot 87 and touch the other end of the jump wire on the battery + (live)
You will hear the pump running if it, (and the in tank link lead) are good, repeat on the other pump.
You will need to make a jump wire with a spade connector to fit in slot 87
This method will not set any codes, and rules out any doubt if the pump is running or not.
Replace both relays before turning the ignition back on (no codes set)
Do a search, lots of info on this forum about this method.
Good look.

Okay, so I did the wire jump to both relays. Both pumps are kicking on !?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I am not sure what to do next. Are there some fuses I can check. I have removed and switched relays, so they seem to be working. I have tested both pumps and they seem to be working. I am still getting P01646. I am going to include my Vin just in case I read the OBD2 Jaguar information wrong. Vin: SAJDA41B81PA21794

You KNOW what the code is so you're not going to lose the information and it often takes this intervention to clear a code rather than it just going away. Only issue with clearing codes is if you have an emissions test imminent and need to be at P1111.
