Fuel pump or what?
Yesterday my 2001 xk8 started fine, ran great for 20 miles. When I parked it and came back 20 minutes later to start it it ran very rough, idled about 500rpm and died about 20 seconds later. Couldn't get any higher rpm when I step on the gas peddle. It kept doing this every time I started it. Never had this problem. 3 hours later wouldn't even start. Had to get it towed home.
A couple weeks ago it was throwing codes, misfire on all the cylinders. I cleared them out and ran fine.
Could it be the fuel pump or what should I look for?

Just went through this with my 2000 coupe. Backed out of garage with car running fine, did a couple of things (maybe 5 min) then got in and it was exactly as you described - barely idling, any application of throttle made it die. Fuel pressure was varying 20+ psi when checked. Replaced the fuel pump and filter (and some other needed work) after which all seems good. Throttle response and power seem notably better too, making me think the pump has been on it's way out for a while.
