Fuel Tank removal/Fuel Pump replacement

Fuel Tank removal/Fuel Pump replacement
I've finally tackled pulling the fuel tank to replace the fuel pump.
There is a little gas left in the fuel tank. I tried a siphon hose and a hand pump, but the ends of the hoses didn't get down into the fuel. I got no gas out of either method.
When I disconnect the quick attach hoses under the tank--above the differential--will I be showered with fuel?
Do I need to turn the tank in any special direction to minimize any overflow?
Thanks to the forum for addressing tank removal instructions.
This wouldn't be too bad of a job if the tank didn't have this quick attach coupler. Couldn't they put the quick attach on the side--instead if where it cannot even be touched?
I've yet to find Reverend Sam's favorite maintenance item--the fuel filter.
Thanks!

I was able to get all the fuel out, so you might need a longer line so that the end will drop down into the tank.
As long as the level is not higher than about 10-20%, you should be fine. Some fuel will spill out as the lines as they could still be a little bit pressurized. As long as you keep the fuel tank leveled and is almost empty, I don’t think you will run into an issue that fuel will run out.
The sides of the tank are very sharp, and to prevent damage to the cable looms, I use a plastic pipe (used for electric cabling in houses), cut it open, and slid that over the sharp edge over the full length.
