The headlights will be estimated $800 per pair and the tail lights will be estimated $400 per pair. There are 3 manufactures currently working on this project. The headlights will not be glass and will be high made with a high grade polycarbonate and the washer tab will be removed. This is a very expensive project that's being worked on so as soon as we can get 500 sets presale we will fulfill the project and have all new full led headlights and tail lights which will make our cars more modern.
I just repaired one of my housings but it's not clear how long the repairs will hold up. Adhesives and the polyethylene or polypropylene housings don't really work. But the only replacement I was able to find as a complete use assembly for $650. That was way too much for a used part. I was unable to find a used housing only which I suspect I'll need before the year is out.

I assume this "headlight" includes new housings. The bane of these assemblies (aside from the condensation problems) has been the easily damaged/destroyed mounting points on the housings. If you are proposing $800 a pair including new housings then this doesn't seem such a bad deal. If the $800 only includes the lenses and lamps ... not so much. Also the headlamp washer tabs would be desirable since it seems that most of the cars in the US were equipped with them.

These headlights are all new housings with the polycarbonate lens attached to the actual housing. The washer tab being removed would be a cleaner look. Again I will continue to work on this project for long as I can to bring it into production. Because like you said the used market for assemblies and lenses are expensive.

I saw this company in a recent post not related to this thread though. This is their eBay listing but you can see much more from their actual website. They have been producing this headlight for awhile now and looks to be exactly what is being proposed here. No risk it seems compared to current proposal. Not cheap but it is available now.
