Stop telling car dealers what they have, as noted it just raises the price!

They didn't raise it by much, and anyone knows, going in with all cash, you can get a few thousand knocked off anyways

I just thought it was odd they didn't know or research despite all the obvious differences from a normal Jaguar appearance...

Not really. From their website this is one of those places that sell a variety of higher end cars and mostly Porsche. The Jaguar is likely just taking up more valuable space in their lot and they want to get rid of it. Sometimes even the legit dealers do not know all the nuances of the various model variations or changes from one year to the next.

Its a bit rarer than you said, the '06 XKR VE vert production was less than this, only 382 were made. Here is my earlier post with VE production numbers from the Jaguar Heritage Trust:

Pretty Ms. Bluefin,

I knew you were going back to look......I could feel it! Hopefully the darn thing has been sold and you can get your mind off of it! Once again, if your Jag and that ugly thing were setting side by side.......only those people that like convertibles would select it.....All the rest of us would take your pretty little coupe.....Only a select few would even care about the "Victory Edition" or even know what it is! If you had bought it you would just wear yourself out explaining to everybody what a "VE" is! And after all that, we still wouldn't let it in Texas!

I guess tastes change over time. I really prefer the touch of glitter as opposed to the black is bad approach. I’m showing my age.

wymjym, You are not getting old, you just appreciate beauty! I have never seen what people see in Black Wheels.....I personally think they are the ugliest things I have ever seen on a Car! But on a Jaguar, they really stink! The (V-E) would look pretty good with Montreal's.....Detroit's, Heck even Paris's.....almost anything Silver......!

I don't like black wheels, but I also don't like chrome. I greatly like a gray shade. I had the 575's wheels redone and think I went a touch too dark.

Yeah. Probably going to redo at some point and will go with a mercury silver. Basically dark enough to hide brake dust but silver enough to pop.

I think the shiny looks nicer too, but I wouldn't turn down the black. Both look nice to these almost-60 (about 2 weeks away) eyes.

The black wheels are the same type as the silvers ones!

dsd,

I think you might be happy with the Mercury Silver....I didn't know what they called it but if it's a little darker shade of silver, then that might work for you.....Just not Black! It looks like you've been out running in the Oil Fields!

The wheels are actually Grigio Mecury. We color matched a Maserati wheel.

Hey Man! Anything looks good on a Ferrari! The photo above looks really good with the Yellow Brake Caliper, but there's still a lot of Black......There again, maybe Mercury Silver the entire wheel and remove the black altogether.....
