Question GPS to Standard dash any one?

Has any one ditched there GPS system and went to a standard 3 gauge set-up?

I would really love to get rid of it and replace it with a stock looking 3 guage with some working gauges. Real oil pressure, boost, and volts?

Any one have any ideas?

I'm sure it can be done, the gauges can just be spliced into the correct leads. Only thing that would be tough is the new wood that would go in there, you'd have to swap out the entire dash for wood that matches...may be tough.

Or better yet, how about a hack into the screen, and you can run some video feed into it that comes from a brain box that runs a program monitoring different systems, and switches displays for different gauges, or a combination of gauges. Its only software.

Default gauges

Yea, i figured the wood dash peace would me a PITA.

There is probably a bracket of some sort behind that panel as well for the gauges to bolt to.

As far as putting in a boost gauge, i could prob use the Leeds from the clock power and run a line threw the fire wall "some ware" for the boost pressure.

Best bet would be to replace the dashboard, try one of the few jaguar junk jards to get the instruments and a dash. There is also a guy who refurbishes jaguar dashes, my shift console was bleached from the sun and he matched it to my dashboard. He might be able to help you to make it look right.
I agree that the navigation is useless, especially on older jags where the data is outdated and you can't get a new dvd. A lot of cell phones provide better navigation aids. And the three gauges look way better.
