I have seen this on E bay for about £60. Do not know how good they are but they are a lot cheaper than a jaguar set of discs.

If it is a 2001 XKR, the newest Nav DVD available is from 2006. None were made after that year. Most people in this forum opt to remove the Nav Screen and get the Triple-Gauge pack, or they get a video switch called PARROT to use the screen for other things, as the navigation is usually so far out of date to be unusable.
Unrelated topic; Not to be nitpicky, but you may have better luck in the XK8/XKR section. The 1997-2006 is the X100 body, the XK/XKR is for the 2007-1014 X150 body.
The disks are usually called Navigation DVD, happens to be exactly that in French also.
Congratulations on the XKR, you will absolutely LOVE it.

There is a link in the DIY sticky thread to a DVD image where you can burn one yourself.

BUT I'm not sure if it is just North America or Europe also.

I'm not sure if Europe is more up to date than North America but the most recent North American maps for from 2003.

Well heck, I guess I just assumed that since the disks were put into brand new 2006 cars that they would be updated. I guess not, now that I take a closer look.
That would be an even more compelling reason to use either a Parrot or go Triple-gauge. Thirteen year old maps wouldn't even be close.

As I understand it from Jaguar, the problem was that Alpine discontinued the head unit and stopped making the DVD.

While the issue of Map age is a concern my experience with the nav system is it's speed. Forget trying to reroute I'd pass exits before it reads the disc and updates. Even the cheapest phones work much much faster than this much less any after market gps.

This guy swapped the OEM nav for a tablet. Seems to work ok. Even some added benefits.
