Default Grill Mesh installation

I am considering installing an XKR type mesh grill on my '06 XK8. For any who have installed a grill:
How difficult is it to install?
Does it raise the operating temp?
Which works better, 1 piece, or 3 piece(surrounding the bumperettes)?

Thx

I did both openings. For the upper (single piece) I made seven angle brackets that are fastened to the plastic and used sheet metal screws to hold the mesh. For the lower just screws into the three struts. It will most certainly not decrease air flow, and the lower mesh will protect the AC condenser from stones.

That's good. Most grills I have seen advertised(eBay) list as easily attached, but "easily" is very subjective. Good to know you have had no cooling problems.

Can i ask how you attached the brackets you made to the bumper?

It may seem obvious but i'm not sure what fixings to use.

I used 5/32" pop rivets with washer backing. Screws with nuts or even sheet metal screws will probably be okay.
