Hi Doug I think that's true washing the Jag is relaxing and you feel the curves and the beauty of the shape. Also it gives you a chance to spot any stone chips or damage and like you say you go a bit further and check things over under the hood.
You are lucky with the weather once a week in the uk is the norm.

I did a quick search and as You know it is a UK company and I have not found a U.S. distributor yet...

So under the Wings (fenders) you apply the Dinitrol to the metal that has not been undercoated and it IS THE UNDERCOATING... Correct?

Is it a once only application?

I noticed that they have several products depending on the application...

Is it a must for the vehicles in the UK because of the Climate???

 

My Lexus gets its baths in car washes every week. My truck seldom gets washed--and it still looks good as long as I stay out of the mud.

My Jag only gets washed by hand. Come to think of it, I've not even washed her this year--kept inside and under cover. Maybe I'll give her a hand job for Christmas.

 

A detailer told me recently that the commercial car washes use a detergent that will remove the wax from your finish. He recommended using a home car wash product that says "Wash & Wax" to make the wax job last longer.

 

. . . but I would not use the 'wash and wax' on the canvas top.

 

Actually I am going to Clay-Bar the car on Saturday,,, then re-apply the wax and PUT A BIG RED BOW ON IT for the Palm Beach Trophy Wife's Christmas Present...

Hi Da Count As long as there is no high abrasion it will last a quite a few years and yes need to apply to clean paint if possible,nice and runny to start with then sets to a dry finish.
I did a Karmann Ghia that I had back in the 70's And I think the guy is still running it now its been in some classic shows so the Dinitrol did a good job.

Any soap will take wax off, including dish soap.

Very high dollar car guys only use a chamois and cold water to clean their cars, leaving the wax and the paint intact.

I have a Land Rover that I have washed twice in the last five years...when the moss gets too thick. Doggie car after all.

Now don't get your knickers in a twist.....I clean the inside often enough...and most of the panels are aluminum so even if the paint comes off it won't rust too much.

Now I just sit home and Trade for myself and occassionly the wife will let me take the car to my friends shop and play... By play I mean change the oil,,, scrub the wheels,,, polish the exhaust,,, (it's Stainless ya know,,,LOL)

Basically I am bored... So I am looking for another one for me to really get into... 05-06 Coupe loaded and low miles would be ideal.

 

I would have to say I did it almost every day but the novelty is wearing out so its more a weekly thing these days
