Thanks for all your feedbacks Al
Here you go, never knew there was a song.
I'm thinking the singer hasn't spent too much time in Scotland by the accent.

Really!!! I just gave her the XKR and I am still stuck doing everything by hand...

But you know those Palm Beach Trophy Wives...

I was lucky I could talk her into giggling the cable just to get it going... (see my post under battery issues) it might keep you from getting stranded.

Norri;

Thanks with a big grin and two thumbs up for the song/joke!!

Oh my God!!!! I am sorry the forum doesn't let us thank you more than once.

That is perfect.

I am still laughing that there is a song of my favorite joke, great for sharing with folks that haven't heard it.

I have already sent it to my fellow crew mates on the Tenacious and Nelson Tall Ships to learn before our next voyage.

Tall Ships Sailing adventures for all from the Jubilee Sailing Trust

If you have ever had a hankering to hit the high seas in a Tall ship this may be one of the most fulfilling ways possible and lots of singing in the evenings and at pubs.

The singer sounds Irish to me so fair enough to be singing about Kilts.

But I leave it to the 'Full Brits' on here to make the definitive identification.

Al;

That is a better telling of the joke than I will ever manage......until I memorize the song.

Best to use clean towels to wash your car.

Count;

I am sure you love to see your PBTW 'giggling' your cable and as the saying goes from the movie 'Cocoon "If this is foreplay I am a dead man" hope you and the car survive when she gets to 'jiggling' your cable.

jigglingpresent participle of jig·gle (Verb)

Verb:
  • Move about lightly and quickly from side to side or up and down.
  • Shake (something) lightly up and down or from side to side.
Good luck Count.

cheers,

jj

Yeah I caught that late last night and said (ehhh FUGGETABOUDIT)

BESIDES If the guy on E-Bay can sell a car in "GOOG CONDITIONS"

Then I can spell Jiggle as Giggle....LOL... Besides the PBTW was pinching/poking me to shut the computer down and come to bed... It was late...

I almost DID NOT go to see the car I did buy,,, because the ad read 2005 Juguar I figured if he cannot spell properly he cannot take proper care of the car... I was wrong. It was the Consignment guys fault, he was the one with the
3rd GRADE EDGA-MA-KAYTION

So happy I went and did not spite him for his spelling..

Default Where's Reverend Sam?

1) Always wash the convertible by hand. It's good exercise and you get to inspect the bodywork pretty closely.

2) From the title of the thread I expected Reverend Sam to jump out of the woodwork but no, y'all have gone way beyond - fun though!

Hi Da Count. Cheech is still happy to clean that motor even though it's a mess. Thats real loyalty to pride of ownership! It's much easier when your pride and Joy is looking good and has a bow on it!

Thanks for all the fun have a great Christmas Al

Been hand washing all my cars since I started driving 47 years ago. The last couple of years I've been using soft bristle brushes instead of sponges of mop type wash mits. I found grit can be picked up by the mits and sponges pushed around the surface making scratches. The brushes flick the grit back up the bristles or away from brush to be caught in the soap. I have 3 different brushes. One for the body. One for the convertible top. One for the tires and rims. I use a name brand soap and the wash before detailing I add Dawn dishwashing liquid to the pail. The Dawn does a nice job cleaning the top and wheels. My '98 XK8 is a daily driver that I put around 12K miles a year on. Jack

Hi Jack You seem to have the cleaning side well worked out.No one seems to use car washes we all love our cars too much to abuse them.
Does the Dawn dishwash cleaner have any salt in it? If so you need to be careful that it doesn't cause the dreaded rust.

Thanks Al

ALAG, I use Dawn because it has no phosphates and uses biodegradable surfactants. This is the product that is used to clean animals trapped in oil spills. It will remove some wax so I only use it if I'm ready to rewax. Jack

Default soaps/detergents

IMHO the absolute best cleaning solution is Basic H... I have used this on all my Cars,,, Boats,,, and Motorcycles...

It is a superconcentrate that makes water @400 times wetter from what I heard...

Totally Organic,,, Non-Toxic,,, Bio-Degradable Surfactants,,, No Phosphates....

4-6 drops in a 1/2 gallon pail of water and a Soft Blue Bristle Brush (sometimes called a boat brush) is all you will need... IT DOES NOT REMOVE WAX and who wants to wax a 65ft Hatteras everytime you wash it,,, Which is every after every trip or at least once a month...

Give it a try.... Gentleman ask your wives about it,,, They know....

Also in a higher dose (10 drops in the pail) it is the best De-Greaser I have found

Merry Christmas Everyone,,,

Hope Santa fufills Everyones wishes,,,
