Radiator fans and coolant temp.
A few posts back and suspecting I had a bad fan relay I order a new one from my local Jaguar dealer.
My car had a black relay part no. LJA6702AA and order a replacement.
I received a white fan relay, part number LNA6702AB and I install it.
We started the car and turn the AC on and NO fans!! Checked the fuses, nothing. AC clutch disengaged and re engaged again, but no fans. Maybe a bad relay?
I installed the donor fan relay back and the fans worked.
Time to test if the fans high speed engaged.
So far I have replaced the thermostat, the coolant temp switch, the AC high pressure switch, coolant pump and cam cover.
In one of the links you kindly shared with us we read that the fans high speed (12V) would be engaged when the coolant reach 207 degrees Fahrenheit.
• FAST (PARALLEL) ON • 97.5 °C (207.5 °F)
We run the engine, with the hood down and the AC on for at least 30 minutes and we couldn't pass 204 degrees.
I wont know if the fan high speed works until I can make the coolant temp reach 207, any suggestions?
I went back to te dealership asking for a replacement and a diagnostic on the "new" relay.
After several minutes and a few phone calls I was told I order the wrong part, the white relay part number LNA6702AB is not the right relay for my car and they order for me a new replacement, fan relay part number LJA6702AA, which Arthur will install tomorrow and test.
