Hi,
I recently bought a 1998 XK 8 Coupe.
The person i bought from informed me that it had a Harmon Kardan amplifier fitted.
However there is no subwoofer or speakers in the back or even tweeters in the dashboard.
My question if anybody can help, is the wiring allready fitted to this model to retrofit the H.K. amp, or even to fit speakers with separate tweeters.

have you looked in the boot.right hand side ontop of the cd changer to see if the amp is there?

 

My previous XK8 (1997) like yours, did not have Premium Sound.

The only wiring for the HK Premium System that was included was the wiring from the Center Armrest area to the Dash Speaker Cavities.

The rest of the Premium Sound wiring was not included.

 

Thanks, i have not as yet done so, because it looks fairly difficult to remove the cover above the changer.

 

Thanks Paul, looks like i may have to live with the sound i have now for a while anyway. Maybe replace the doorspeakers with better quality units.
