Hideous

 

Maybe it's me, but I don't take ricer to be an especially derogatory term. To me it says more about the look and feel of the vehicle than anything else. Lights, sounds, crazy paint jobs and lots of gee-whiz gadgets.

Technically speaking, some of the mods are superb. They can wring insane amounts of power out of tiny little engines and most of them would likely run rings around our hulking 2 ton GT cars.

It may not be my cup of tea but I do respect the achievement.

So true!

Hate the lambo doors and leaper; can tolerate the interior a bit; like the sports tonneau cover; like the wheels; gag on the ricer stereo/tv junk; love the color; would hate to bump a post or other car with that unprotected front face.

 

I've seen worse, but overall not my cup of tea. The leaper looks hideous on an XK8. The Lambo doors were played out about a decade ago. The interior looks like a brothel. The tonneau is pretty cool. The wheels are gauche.

 

One can only hope that pulling the leaper out of the bonnet would make the whole thing deflate. Preferably whizzing around with a loud farting noise.

 

The black cherry colour is very nice, and the body colour engine covers/intake are very nice.

 

I am pretty sure this XK has shown up on here before..... But I like the colour, wheels, particularly like what they done with the engine bay but needs some bling to finish it off, hate the leaper, and WTF is it with people and that quilted look interior, just reminds me of my ole grannies bead spread apart from that the rest is OK cant see the point of the carbon strip along the wood, it is too much of a contrast should of gone one way or the other....... As to the ICE in the trunk, thats just a gimmick along with the dated Lambo doors, but you never know I might use them myself one day

Old thread but I just noticed the larger mesh grille. I'm actually making one right now for my 02. We're using the same size as the plastic mesh in my XF and welding an edge around it then painting piano black. Amazing how much better it looks than the small mesh. Also moving badge to grille.
