Default headlight part identification

I just noticed this part of my headlight array is missing on the passenger side. I don't know what it does or what it is called or where to get another. If you can answer any of those questions, please respond.

Headlamp washer cover part number LJA7054FA. I wonder if you could get one 3D printed instead.

Many of the headlight washer systems quit working as the years have passed. Or their previous owners disabled them by pulling their fuse.

If I remember correctly, they are supposed to function every sixth time you engage your windshield washer button....

Impressive memory!

Here's the section from JEPC:

Surprisingly, Jaguar are showing the Jet Cover as available. Less good news is it's 162 UKP.

Mine still works, but I've noticed that it's on every sixth time I engage the windshield washer button, even if the previous five times I engaged it was with the headlights off in broad daylight. If that sixth time the headlights happen to be on, the washer sprays, and for some reason, the fluid splashes with such force it reaches all the way to my windshield.

That's why a lot of owners pull the fuse for that feature. Messes up your windshield and any wash job on the hood. Fixed my original XK8 that way but now I have a 1998 without the washers, so no longer an issue.

Hmm, I never really gave it much thought since my paint is faded and needs a paint job. The body shop quoted me $8k. I've got $10k saved up, but will be going to Brazil in December, so I need to save up some more.

Originally it was an optional extra - part of the Cold Climate Pack. Non powerwash cars had a dummy cover - its the same part, just nothing underneath.
