Default headlights, windshield, Radio

I need some help with the following questions concerning my 2004 XK8.
  • How do I clear up the moisture in my headlights?
  • Radio ticks when listening to AM channels?
  • Windshield appears to have a pattern within the glass itself?
Any help would be appreciated.

Radio ticks - did you change your ignition wires? As I recall some models without RF supression can cause this. On other cars, some have had sucess grounding the hood to the chassis (effectively turning it into a shield), but an ohmeter can tell you if it is grounded before you even consider this. I am brainstorming on this one, do a google on cars AM radio interference supression and see what you get. When you mention the windows - does it show only when wearing polarized sun glasses? I have to ask because that can explain it.

Here's a thread on moisture in the headlights. Post #18 even has Jag TSBs.

Other threads exist if this doesn't help. Just search for moisture condensation headlights. It's a common enough problem.

Thanks for the info. The windshield is the same day or night it looks like threads running through the glass. It almost looks like a car cover was on the car for a protracted amount of time and left an imprint. I've tried to clean the windshield and it makes no difference.

Do you have a heated windscreen? If so, it'll be the fine vertical parallel wires of the heating element embedded in the glass.
