Help! Brake vacuum pipe norma connector is broken
I'm having trouble locating this part, it's a brake vacuum pipe that connects from the throttle body elbow to a second piece that connects to the brake booster. After searching on the forum, I determined that most people have a different one from mine. Mine is not broke off, however, the Norma connector clip that secures it to the throttle body elbow is broken, and, although the hose is fitted into the elbow, it's being held in place by electrical tape. I believe I am having a slight vacuum leak because of this as my pedal feels soft and panic stops at slow speeds are weird the first couple times. However, at above 40 mph I'm not having this problem. Oh, before I forget, it connects to the throttle body elbow at the left side.
Please, I would like to figure out either the part number for the pipe, or a solution for properly securing it to the throttle body elbow nipple.
If a better picture is needed, I will try tomorrow in the daylight.

I hope someone more knowledgable than I am concerning the 2004 XKR will come along. Meanwhile, although they are listed for the X type, the C2S15816 Brake booster hose connector kit did indeed fit my 2002 XKR. It works similar to Chinese finger cuffs. (push in on the plastic collar while pulling the tube out). Unless one has a damaged brass ring, the one provided in the kit is probably not worth the trouble to replace. One does have to be careful not to let any old broken plastic collar or rubber o-ring fragments enter the engine while cleaning out the old brass ring. Over time, this connector may leak and may throw P0171, p0174 codes.

You would think that being that it’s the corrugated type, but I traced it all the way to the brake booster. If it is a partial load breather hose, it is interesting that I have no loss of power and performance, no MIL or codes, and can hear no hiss.

Unfortunately, that wouldn’t work in this situation because the connection to the throttle body elbow is different. This uses a nipple similar to what a radiator hose connection is, but it has a raised bump where the Norma V2 connector clips onto.
