Help - P0603 - Powertrain code 2004 XK8 Convertible
Yesterday I went to start the car to head off on a day trip and I got an engine check light and very stumbling running for just about 30 seconds before I shut her off.
I checked on my ELM 327 code reader and Torque Pro and got the error code P0603- Powertrain Internal Control Module Keep Alive Memory (KAM) Error
I have been researching this and have tried the hard reset touching the negative cable to positive for 30 seconds. I also tried the method of disconnecting the battery and leaving the ignition key in the run position.
The battery is in good condition and is always on a trickle charger between runs.
Now the car only will start and run for a couple of seconds before it dies from what seems like a lack of fuel.
I have attached a photo of what I believe is the Internal Control Module.
I have had this car for 7 years, it has 217,000 kms. on it and up until this it has always run like a champ.
The car is North American model and I am located in Ontario, Canada.
All suggestions appreciated. Apparently there are different versions of this unit, this is from mine.

That thing there is the ECM... That is the limit of my experience with anything you've said, and I am interested to hear what others have to say... My little brain is thinking about a leaky capacitor issue inside of the ECM?
And yes, good used ECMs can be found. If this in fact turns out to be the issue.
