Hi All, important question - Convertible Top parts
Where do you guys or should I say who do you guys trust to get Jaguar parts?
I'm in need of a 2005 XK8 convertible top pump. Any websites you guys trust? I would be forever grateful for any guidance. Poor car can't go out and join the rest of the convertibles since this part has failed and now is unhitched. Any speed over 10 mph will throw it open and do damage.
Thanks in advance.
Member since 2008, but apparently if you don't go on site in over a year it erases your info. I just signed up all over again.

Welcome (back) to the forum ojxk8,
I've moved your question from XK / XKR 2006 - Onwards to XK8/XKR forum. Plenty of discussion and advice on convertible top issues here. Members with the same model will be able to help.
Please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some info about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

What tells you that the pump has failed?
Very unusual for that to happen. Many more have failed due to attempts to remove the electrical connectors to the solenoids.
If you are saying that the problem is that the top is not latched now that is a common problem not caused by the pump. Search for 'green shower'.
