Default HID Ballast D1S

guys
Just pulling the car out after a long winter
Noticed front left main beam nfg...
purchased new bulb but no go...guessing the ballast..
Live in a small town and very difficult to get parts, I did a search but is there a part number for the ballast ?
I prefer to order first as would have to pull the assembly to get at the part #
I have done a search and most appear to be purchasing an aftermarket over the pricey valeo original
This car only gets driven maybe 2000km a year , only in the sun with the top down so spending big dollars would like to be avoided
Thanks in advance

The ballast is a Valeo LAD5G. An aftermarket ballast will most likely not include the headlight leveling module.

Rankster,

I had a similar problem a year ago and decided to replace both Ballasts and Bulbs...I really only needed (1) Ballast but replaced both of them....So, I have a good used one if you want it. PM me you address and it's yours.

Go to Amazon and buy (2) new DS1 HID Bulbs that are 30 to 50 Watts with 6000K Color...They are about $25 to $30.00 a pair. And they are the Brightest white 6000K as they can get. It will surprise you as they will help you see better at Night....
