Default High Pitched Sound from Engine (with video)

Hello all!

I would really appreciate your help diagnosing this high pitched sound coming from around the engine on my 2000 XKR. The sound usually lasts for a few minutes after ignition and then goes away. I've included two videos of it, taken a month apart, because they sound a bit different. Maybe it's getting worse, but it could just be the acoustics, I'll try and pay more attention. Timing chains, guides and tensioners had all been replaced before I purchased the car.

Belt or bearing ..get mechanics stethoscope and track it down. Spray some water on the belt and see if it goes.
Better to do your video with the hood up. Does not sound heavy enough to be serious

I would lean towards a pulley bearing. As was already said, listen around with a stethoscope, piece of hose, or long screwdriver. Youll definitely hear it clearly when you get on the right area

I had the same noise from my 2000 XKR and it was a bearing. Dont remember if it was on the idler pulley or the tensioner for the serpentine belt.

Could also be supercharger (rear) bearings which were causing chirping noise in my car at idle. Automotive stethoscope will tell and costs couple of bucks.

Number 2 sounds exactly like my corvette. I can not hear any similar sound in #1. Same general diagnosis from forum members: belt, pully, belt tensioners. I've not been able to fully diagnose yet. Please let me know.

Still can't nail down the sound? Maybe you could have a friend or associate listen
as you drive by them to see if they can give you an outsiders viewpoint. I have had
success with that on my '77 C-10.
