Ho hum, another 1,100 miles in 36 hours
Spent Sunday and Monday daylight hours driving down to Austin TX and back for my annual physical. A little over 1,100 miles taking the back roads. The car performed as expected, no speed records set but the hours were nevertheless quite enjoyable.
I kept to the scenic 2 lane highways for the entire trip. I-35 in Texas has got to be one of the worst roads for driving pleasure, and I see no reason to risk life and limb in order to save a hour or two by using it.
Total mileage on the car is now just over 170,000. It feels like it’s almost broken-in. The ‘02 may only have the 4.0 L engine, but it’s all heart, especially when passing the slower traffic.

...... and more reports and photos when you do. Some of us like to read about driving these cars as a change from working on them.
