Hey everyone
I have a noise that is about to drive me crazy (er), When I hit a bump in the road, no matter how slight, I get this solid thump from what sounds like behind the dash. I figure it must be in the front suspension some where, has anyone out there experienced anything like this, and if so what was the solution for getting rid of the noise. Any and all suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

The more common issue is the anti sway bar bushings. The rubber collapses with age and allow the bar to hit the neighboring sub frame. They are cheap and somewhat easy to replace with the front end of the car on ramps. The (4) bolts holding the U brackets are a bit tricky to reach, but well within the realm of what us home mechanics have to deal with during the maintenance of these cars. Some also take advantage of this job to replace the end links as well.
Best of luck, keep us posted.
