How do you reattach plastic trim over seat rail?
The other day I had to remove the drivers seat to install a new seatbelt buckle. Grabbed my T60 attachment and got started .
FYI I was surprised that these bolts were loose. Tightened after reinstall made a noticeable difference. You may want to check yours sometime.
it turns out that one needs to remove the plastic trim that sits over the track on the outside side of the seat.
this was connected pretty tight. Since I didn't know how it attaches I tried to remove the one on the passenger side. It came off without damage and I could see it attaches by a clip abour 2/5ths of the way back from the front.
a bit of pressure in the right place and it was free.
now I'm finding it pretty difficult to reattach either side. The driver seat has the lift option so more room to work with. Passenger side is tight fit.
Does anyone have any good tricks to properly align and reattach these?
thanks,
John
