I won a marketing promotion from a local Jaguar dealership that resulted in my use of a V6 coupe for a long weekend. It was a beautiful car, fun to drive and certainly got some attention. However, the difference in comparing against my XK8 was not enough to make me want to switch even if I had the funds at the time (I didn't).

Looks are subjective, but I would give the XK8 the slight edge here. The F-Type is more sporting but cannot compete with the mile-eating GT qualities of the XK on the highway. I guess where the F-type wins is in it being a more modern, newer car and all that entails.

When/if I decide to move on from my current XK8, I will likely look to the X150. I have an XF as well and the lure of the 5.0 liter V8, especially in a 2 seat GT, is very compelling.
