How to remove the dash veneer (centre section)? FAQ
#22
Having done this a few times fitting, removing and refitting my 3-guage conversion it's very straightforward. I have found when replacing its easier to pre-fit the clips to the upper pair but to push the clips into the dash first for the lower pair. Make sure you expand the clip a tad so it grips in the dash cutouts and also push the teeth inwards so they grip the tangs on the trim snuggly.
On a different topic I have decided to get my centre panel vinyl wrapped - there is a pro-shop a few miles away specialising in full car wraps as well as trim. I'm going to get it done in black like the photo but just plain satin non-textured so it will match the air vents and centre console switches.
I've pretty much given up on finding a full set of matching veneers at a reasonable price.
