Humming Purge Valve

Humming Purge Valve
I had a P0444 code on my OBD and the check engine light was present in my 97 XK8. I changed the purge valve with a genuine Jaguar part and I noticed an immediate improvement in how the engine felt when driving. (and the check engine light went out as an added bonus!)
However, there is a noticeable semi high pitched "hum" at idle and an increase in rpm's makes it go away, yet at idle the hum returns. The sound seems to be coming from the intake manifolds yet the new purge valve when touched, is vibrating like crazy. The valve is mounted to the chassis with two rubber shock absorbing mounts similar to the design of an engine mount, and when touching the valve the hum dissipates slightly so I'm not too sure if this is normal and the valve needs time to "break in" or if I may have a faulty valve.
I did some researching and I've seen a TSB from Jaguar about a "ticking" purge valve , but nothing addressing a hum. I may try and tighten the 10mm nuts on the mounting bolts to see if this helps, but for the time being, has anyone else had an experience with this? Thank you in advance.....

I replaced mine as well a couple of months ago and also had that humming noise. I put a cardboard pad between the can and the bracket and it has not hummed since. I should have put a piece of noise reduction pad there instead. But, it is good for now. That canister vibrates at a fairly high frequency and if it is not isolated properly it can make that humming noise.
