OK, I officially have Cabin Fever
2 feet of snow yesterday drifts up to 7 feet. My convertible '01 xkr has been in the garage with a trickle charger for 3 months. I just plowed my 60 foot driveway and didn't bother to do the cat's side at all!
This morning it was 0.5 degree F.
Heavy Sigh!!!
That silver speck on the right side of my garage behind the 60 foot wall of snow is my Jag.
See you in May!

I'm in the same storm, 21" and spent all of yesterday plowing out the driveway and court the plow never showed up till abut 3 in the afternoon couldn't leave till then. Had to dig the business out today. I'm beginning to wonder why I'm not living in Belize or Hawaii. The old brain must have been frozen to many times cause I keep staying here.

Not to be a Smart ***
Not to be a smart ***; I'm glad you guys (people up north) can tolerate it. Otherwise you'd all move south and Florida would become way to damn crowded. Couldn't pay me enough or entice me with a big beautiful mansion to move up to snow country! Florida was growing way to fast before the economic meltdown...a silver lining to everything. Just as, after the snow melts, you will appreciate the spring sooo much more. And in the mean time you're keeping the mileage down on your beautiful Cats .

OK, OK, payback is he11.
I bragged about sun, sun and more sun in Arizona and have been rewarded with sun, sun and more sun. Problem is y'all from up North have sent cold air from Canada (eh?) and our temps have dropped into the mid-teens at night with a blustery wind dropping the wind-chill to minus 5 F. Frozen and busted water pipes all over town and the Jag even has to crank for a few seconds before starting. The heater works great though.
So, next time, no bragging, just commiserating with all those who don't get to enjoy their beautiful cars all year round!

I live in Central Texas (Austin-area) and it's usually a very mild winter weather here - the lowest maybe around 35-38F tops, one or two ice days per winter, and one snow day (which do not linger long) if we're lucky.
The past several days though - you can read all about it on the web - we've been hit with a freakish winter storm. On Friday morning, the fairway behind my house is completely covered with snow, the sand traps became snow traps pretty much. The temperature rose as high as 32F that day.
Then one of my water pipe burst open - and half of my living room is soaked. Yeah - fun ...
However, on Saturday, it was 65F and bright and sunny! Took the car out for a drive, did a quick stop at Lowe's for some insulation materials, took some samples of hard wood, laminate and bamboo floors (to replace the soaked carpet), then made a quick stop @ Randalls for chips - hey it's Superbowl Sunday - and off course, get 8 boxes of mandatory caramel delites girl scout cookies. Needless to say - the whole time, I left the top down.
That car is a definite mood-lifter ... but now I need to get back to some house cleaning ......

I dont have a convertible Jag but I do own a convertible. I remember once taking my son and a friend to the state high school football championship The sun was out not a cloud in the sky. Temp was 20D with 10D wind chill and the top was down. In my book that is why convertibles have heaters.
People think I'm crazy but any day, if the sun is up the top is down. Its snowing today so Ill have to ride home with the top up. It gives you hope of warmer days, plus it brings smiles from other motorist. You can see them saying, " look at that SOB."

We will all remember Tealjag and Florida Steve next time you have a hurricane. My friend saw 37 degrees @ DisneyWorld last month. I was once in a snow storm in St. Augustine in March.
Floridian's naturally yearn for a change of weather and elevation, as a third of the cars in North Georgia, Western NC and East Tennessee mountains have Florida plates.
