I saw this picture about a year ago and I fell in love. This guy lowered his XK8, took off the molding pieces on the door, and put some very nice, tasteful wheels on the car. This thing looks amazing. I didn't save the pic at the time and I've been kicking myself ever since. This makes me really want to buy a coupe. I could fit a coupe and a vert in my garage. Really, I could! I'd just have to put all of my tools in the driveway.

Here is the original post if you want to know a little more about the car. Too bad the owner is long gone: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/e...-lowered-5016/

Sam you do as I"M thinking about. adding a small addition to the garage so I can get a two car lift from Greg Smith Equipment. A friend has one with two 69 camaro's stacked. Got me thinking. Don't move or sell, just stackem. The price is right.
Just need a pick up with trailer, some extra concrete for the new room and siding and a roof, a little bit of power and a couple of doors, almost forgot...........permission!!!!!!!!!!!!

The lip of the rim being the same width as the spokes, and having square edges, makes it look a little too harsh to me. These cars have a very organic, smoothly curved shape and those wheels stand in stark contrast to that design theme.

I too, prefer the looks of this one. While the other car is a beautiful car, I can see that to some tastes, the wheel and tire combination sort of overwhelm the aesthetics of the car.
On this one, it is a little more understated, and does not take away from the overall look. (at least to my taste)
While I have said before that the coupe, in some respects, is better looking than the 'vert, to me, it is more about the driving experience than how the car looks, sitting still.
My other vehicle has a roof, and it drives a lot smoother and more comfortably on the interstate than my Jag does. However, there is NO comparison to a pleasant drive with the top down on a beautiful day.
For most of my life, my weekend activity revolved around boating, and I still have a boat, but, since I now have my own business, I can't seem to find the time to take it out very much. A ride in my Jag 'vert with the top down is the closest replacement that I can come up with at the present time, so that experience, to me, tops the "looks" of the coupe.

Yes, I remember, but I deleted that PM about 11 months ago. I get a lot of PMs and my box would fill up every week or two if I wasn't continually deleting them. And if I buy a coupe it's going to be an XKR.
