I posted awhile back about having a fully loaded 2003 Jag XK8 that I bought and it doesn't have a rear view mirror or the mount on the windshield. I have purchased the correct mirror and rain detector disk.
My question was where can I get the mounting bracket? I was told to get a new windshield 🙄😒. That's not an option for me!
Can someone send a picture of this mounting bracket, so I can at least possibly make one? Or better yet, tell me we're I can get one?
It is so frustrating. There is literally no resources on internet and the local dealerships don't know anything.

As we touched on on the other thread, the metal bracket comes with the windshield. If you want the bracket alone, you could contact a junk yard, check craigslist or the classifieds on this forum for a part-out. The bracket would then have to somehow be separated from the old glass, cleaned up and then reattached to yours with a suitable adhesive.

Try Welsh Ent in Ohio, they are known to acquire older Jaguars for parts. Also, try eBay vendors of the mirror. If they are recyclers, they most likely will have the corresponding windshield and bracket.

 

If I could just lay my eyes on one or get a photo of one, I could make it myself.
