Removing the inlet manifold is relatively straightforward, but bear in mind many of the plastic parts are going to be brittle and can easily break.

With the inlet manifold removed, also replace any coolant hoses that run under the manifold as they can leave you stranded.

Some on this forum have claimed to be able to reach and replace these sensors without removing the intake manifold. Probably involves creative use of tools, or even sticky tape, but apparently doable.

Best of luck, keep us posted.

Yes I heard them talking about it, I did tried to slide a tool in there a 24 mm crowth wrench but no way I can get in around the nut. I noticed that there are a couple different sensors mine has no upper nut on it to remove from the top, this one is one piece and has to come out in one piece, there must be a special tool for this.
Thanks for your info.
Cheers.

Here is a link to the X100 Workshop Manual for vehicles fitted with the 4.0 litre engine:

Refer to section 303 for engine procedures.

A quick warning: I started to take mine off recently, but I found the electrical connectors to be completely frozen in place so I had to abort the process.

Maybe start with your electrical connectors so you find out up front whether that's going to be a huge complication.
