iPod accessory to iPhone charging adapter (new iPhone with old accessories)
For those of you with newer iPhones (3GS and 4) this device may be of some interest.
I found it at Target, but you can get it at Amazon for a little cheaper. Amazon.com: Scosche passPORT Charging Adapter for iPod & iPhone (Black): Electronics
My 2002 XKR came with an iPod adapter already wired into the stereo system, which was nice. However, it does not support charging on the newer iPhones and iPods. That is because the old devices had a 12V power for charging and the new ones use only the 5V from USB. This device adapts the 12V to 5V and problem solved.
Even though it only says it supports up to the iPhone 3GS there are reviews that say it works fine with the iPhone 4.
Just thought I would share this with you guys. I hope it helps.
