The biggest worry would be getting debris in the engine. Tape up those holes and cover everything possible. If you can get help have someone vacuum while drilling and tapping. Inspect, inspect and inspect some more. Metal chips are not your friends so don't invite them to the party. It's IS a big PITA but don't beat yourself up too much. $h#@ happens.
The car is not ruined, it's just a set back. As Billy Crystal used to say..."Oh I hate when that happens" TM

Thank you everyone. With your encouragement and advise - I did it. I couldn't have done it without all your encouragement and help. I'm also sorry about the delay in replying, seems like I inadvertently had turned off subscription to the thread.

Here is the image of how it broke

I was able to use one of the jagged edges on the break and a long nosed center punch and was able to break it loose. It took a lot of patience, about 10+ minutes of gentle knocking before it broke lose and then another 10 minutes till it came up enough above the surface for me to be able to grab it and pull it out.

I used the fourth from left punch below that I purchased from harbor freight.

Once again everyone here. I cannot express my gratitude for your advice. My sincere apologies for not responding earlier. @giandanielxk8 - thank you.

Well done and a great result

Motorcarman's comment is well advised. A 1/4" drive will not only limit the torque on the bolts, it also makes access easier.

Thank you for getting back to us Chilly! Congrats on your extraction of the broken bolt. Now you can enjoy a pint of your favorite beer!
