I see this crack every time I get in the car. Six speed ones with the “5” on it are really hard to find or really expensive. I only need the facia not the entire assembly.

Electricians tape? I did not think that would work well enough. This is a piece of heat shrink. Split it down the back side.

Slide under the facia plate easy. Applied heat gun on low heat careful not to melt any other plastic bit.

Chrome surround back in place. Not perfect but good enough so that most people would not notice the repair, present company excepted. Since I already had the shrink wrap the cost of this fix was near zero and it took about 15 minutes to do. We will see how it holds up.
