jacking up the front end

jacking up the front end
Wanting to jack up both sides of the front end at the same time.
I know where the jack point is on the side of the car
but see no where to jack up the front unless it`s under the Raditor support.
Is that support strong enought to hold the weight until i get jack stands under it?
also is there anything I need to do BEFORE disconnecting the batt, ei, codes? I know to leave the doors open before disconnecting the batt, anything else, Would it help if I plug in a 9 volt batt in the cig lighter to save codes?

That cross member is more than a radiator support and is the Jaguar designated jack point for the front using a floor jack. Do not jack under the aluminum casting.
There has been discussion on needing a radio code but I never have had to. Also, since the cigar lighter is not connected with the ignition off I suspect that one of the code maintain units would not work anyway.
I don't have the leveling system on the Jaguar but do on other cars that have a disable switch to use when jacking.
