Jag Speaker Repair
Hello Folks!!...
Just a quickie...I've searched Hi and Low for anybody that repairs Our Jag speakers. In this case, 98 XK8 rear speakers. Mine work OK if you have the Bass set on negative. But if you advance to the positive range, they sort of "blurt". I've pretty much worn my fingers down to the first knuckle trying to Google my way around the web. Anybody have any solutions??
I thank'ya Kindly...

If you need step by step directions with pictures, try this site; http://p4-8057.uk2net.com/jag/ I replaced all (4) of my speakers (standard sound system, not premium) this past weekend and found this site very helpful. FYI I used JBL speakers, approx. $40.00 per pair. They sound great to me. Very "low end" speakers but with my ears of 50 years, can't hear the extra highs and lows that cost much more $$$$$$
Good luck......

If you're just trying to replace the 6" subs in the rear jump seats (and not putting in a full range speaker that mlew^ suggested), there are two direct replacements...JL audio 6w0 (discontinued, but still being sold on the internet for like $75 each), and the new JL audio 6w3s. They're the replacement to the 6ws, so are priced accordingly. Getting to them is easy, so you can DIY with ease. Good luck and let us know which way you go.
