Just bought XKR (2006) Victory Edition
Hi all,
I am now a proud owner of an XKR (2006) victory edition. Luckily, my local Jag dealer provided a build sheet and I would like to share it with you.
It comes with something unusual for XKRs: xenon headlight (is this standard for any XKRs?), side mirror with folding function, Bluetooth.
Also, it says "Black hood", does anyone know what this is for?
I will post some photos once she arrives...she's on her way to a new home.

Can you educate me... what is "Rube Goldberg cupholder"? Thanks again

Google "Rube Goldberg", take a good look at your so-called cupholder contraption, and you will quickly understand. Just don't try to actually use it....
I would bet that most if not all of the Victory Edition XK8s/XKRs were fitted with Xenon headlights. Being the last of the breed, Jaguar was emptying their parts bins into these cars. My wife's XK8 Victory Edition ragtop has them as well. It was built in May 2005 and like yours, it was initially sold by Hornburg Jaguar in Los Angeles....

JW, the cup holder is difficult to use, performs horribly, and if you're like 90% of us, will be broken within a yr or 2. (Ah, small price to pay for such a nice car:-))
Xenon were stock in EMEA before North America (I'm always hesitant to use NA abbreviation here since it means normally aspirated too ha ha). From what I recall they were first stock on XKRs.
Bill, that connects to an intersection heads up I'd like to share. Xenon = headlamp washer included. The washer was an option, I've got one on my car. Heres the warning:
If roof is down and speed is right - it can squirt in passenger's eyes (ask me how I know). Its a big f*cking deal, she was injured by it.
That notwithstanding, I never found it to be more than a cool show off toy that gets my freshly washed hood wet.
Bill I should teach you: related to first point, the headlight washer auto activates, every 3rd time or something, when you press windshield washer to clean your windshield, so be aware!
I disabled mine by pulling the relay.

The Victory Edition was sold around the RoW (Rest of the World) markets as the Final Series. Same specification but no restriction on numbers produced. They had all available options fitted as standard and were a superb package.
For comparison, here's the DDW printout for my XK8 2005 Final Series 4.2-S Coupe:
The model surpassed a mere sales brochure. Jaguar released a hardback book for it!

I understand the Direct Dealer Warranty system used for szhilian39 and my vehicle printouts shown in this thread is superseded by TOPIx as the dealer information portal. Until late in 2019 anyone could register for TOPIx and download the full specification for any Jaguar or Land Rover just by entering the VIN. Here's the specification for my current XK:
Citing Data Protection issues, JLR removed this open access and now just show basic Model and Year. However, the full specification is still available to anyone who is prepared to buy TOPIx time by the hour, day etc.

Jason,
Welcome to the most informative Forum for Jaguars. Congrats on the acquisition of your XK8. You will Love/Hate this car. When it is Good it is Very Good, when it is Bad, it is Horrible!!!, but as I keep saying, if you wanted a good, dependable, constantly, boring, running, car, get a Toyota Corolla. Not that I have anything against a T.C., I just enjoy the hell out of my Jag, when it is good......
As for the cup holder, it does a Great job of holding a single Styrofoam cup, if it is empty. Besides, you should not be drinking and driving, even in Arkansas.
Any problems you have with you car can likely be cured by someone here, as they have all been seen before. In some cases you might need a translation from "British" to "English"(e.g. Hood=Top, Boot=trunk, torch=flashlight, etc).
In reality, this is a great place to learn anything about your car, and as a general rule all are very tolerant. In 3 years they have not kicked me off, yet.
