Default Just finished RealGauge install.

Coudos to WhiteXKR.
Just finished THE REALGAUGE INSTALL, it was quite easy, the directions were right on and very easy to understand.
I am not even close to a mechanic or electrician but was able to do this with ease.

My oil pressure was just as expected 75 cold 50 warm 20 idle and back up to 75 on throttle PSI of course.

Now my coolant temp might be a bit high, it was stable at 215 degrees, but I am in Arizona
and it is 102 degrees(a cool Day), I'm sure the outside ambient temperature would make the car run on the warm side.

Anyone in the know, do you think this warm running temperature or 215 degrees is reasonable or do I have reason to be concerned? Thanks for reply.

I am very happy with my new gauges, took about 4 hours maybe 5 by the time everything put back together.

This is a good investment for every Jaguar owner.
This is my second upgrade from White XKR I did the conversion from navigation to the 3 gauges in the middle console, that was just as easy .
WhiteXKR really covers everything you need in the kit to install.

WHITE XKR is a GURU AFICIONADO OF JAGUARS.
A REAL ASSET TO THIS FORUM.
Thank you for being here and helping.

Warm regards to all and,
Happy motoring...

I have had the RealGauge upgrade for a couple of weeks now, but other projects keep getting in the way. Really need to make it happen as I am concerned about water temp (104 f today, 106 f tomorrow).

Your notes on install time were helpful. Curious if you used the labels provided. If you did was it worth it and how do they look?

Yes I used 3 degrees for temp in the larger size 125,185, 245 and the F. I tried all of them and thought it was a bit to much. I used the 0,50, 100 and PSI on the oil gauge.
Make sure when you cut the numbers apart you cut straight across and balance out the sides, they are all one width but of course the numbers for the oil gauge range from 1 number to 3 numbers wide, cut excess off.
Because I only only used 3 numbers on temp gauge I used the larger size and since I used larger size there I did same for oil.

The numbers look good, provide a nice reference .

But my only suggestion to WhiteXKR is to do the numbers with a matte black vinyl instead of gloss because the gauges have a matte black finish and the numbers in matte would blend in better. The gloss has a bit of a glare with top down.
But I would still rather have them than not!

Good Luck with you install,
you'll be happy you did.

Happy Motoring...
