LED brake lights are fun!
After swapping out the secondary tensioners (only snapped one cam cover bolt), adding the series resistor to the top hydraulics motor, changing the hydraulic fluid and eliminating the first muffler, I felt the need to do more. One of the threads here suggested LED brake lights, AHA! Sent away to Hong Kong for CANBUS 1156 Cree 25W lamps and waited. Finally got them and stuck them in, not much brighter but a different look. I needed to run to FedEx 15 miles away so I took off. First stop sign and "Brake light failure" shows up. Okay, that's cool and I went on my way. On the way back, "Brake light failure" was joined by ""ASC failure", "Traction control failure" and something else that I missed as I was in 4 lane traffic (fast lane, of course) and the throttle quit. I idled my way to the side, mightily impressing the rubes, and turned it off. I restarted and everything happened again. Third time, the engine ran and I made it home. Replaced the LED's with the old bulbs and plugged in the OBDII to see what kind of codes it threw. Gee, a P1120 was all, which cleared so I have no idea what that had to do with anything. Hong Kong CANBUS aren't! I don't think I want to stick two big 50W resistors in the taillight module either.

You will need the resistors to avoid the brake light failure warning.
The power supplies in these things are probably generating a lot of electrical noise. I suspect it is excerbated by the horrible grounding the rear lights have. Performing the tailigtht grounding mod in this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...esolved-35083/ might solve the other problems by grounding the LEDs close to the chassis.

Just order the victory tail lights and you'll be sooo happy!! (And surprisingly inexpensive compared to the headlamp lenses)
I've tried several led tail light options, the spider bulbs, led bulbs, resistors, but every single one has sent the failure code.
The only led bulbs that have given no problem have been the license plate bulbs and the front parking lights in the headlamp housings.

Here is the thread that I referenced earlier, it should help you get a better understanding of the possibility and obstacles involved.
Also, here is the schematic that I was referring to. If a CREE is used in the turn signal (indicator), then the resistor on that wire is not required.
