Left, Right, 1 ,2, A, B?
Can someone please clear up which is Bank A, Bank B, Bank 1 and Bank 2 in relation to left and right, as sitting in the drivers seat (UK). Does it follow that Bank A is 1 and B is two and what side are they?
I just can't seem to find a definitive answer to this although I am sure it is there somewhere
Thanks
Andy

You'll find it under Engine (General).

Thanks David, the picture in post #2 I've not seen before and it is the one that really helps, as it shows bank 1/A and 2/B in relation to the front of the engine.
Paul and Graham, thanks for the suggestions, but I have that diagram in my folder already and although it shows Banks 1 & 2 it doesn't make any reference to A or B and I didn't want to make the assumption that 1=A & 2=B as in my experience incorrect assumptions have have been the downfall of many a good plan!
The reason for all this is that I have had an ongoing P0333 code and then an ongoing P1647 both of which JTIS tells me relate to Bank B, but I've been having trouble identifying which is B. I have been further confused, as the P1647 relates to the upstream O2 sensor on the left side which I replaced about 10 months ago and therefore my initial assumption was that it would be the other one that had failed. A good demonstration about making incorrect assumptions!

Thanks Graham. That is the diagram I was referring to in my reply to David when he steered me to Post #2 in a previous thread. I hadn't seen that diagram before and as you say, it's a comprehensive explanation / definition of the cylinder and bank I.D. on these engines.
Now, if I could just figure out why that new HO2 sensor has failed...........
