Default Lights on, lights off.

I've notice on my 2001 XK8 that things seem to come and go. First my airbag light came on and stayed on then went off and has not been back on since. Then the hood open warning light came on and went off and has not been back on. My horn stopped working the other day and now it works again. I love my car and i know that prayer works but has anyone else experienced this?

The airbag and horn have the steering wheel clock spring cassette in common. It is possible that is starting to fail or has an intermittent connection. If the airbag light comes on again, count the flashes..it should be two sets of flashes representing a two digit failure code.

I would think the hood open warning might be an unrelated issue.

But your prayers seem to be working pretty well on these issues

I may have solved my "hood open" message by removing the switch and shooting it with contact cleaner. This seems to have worked, so far.
