Long time gone..but now need help

Well to put a cap on it:
My mechanic called me Tuesday afternoon but I missed his call. He did take me up on my offer to take it home for an extended test drive and while he had the car at home he was fiddling around w/it and pulled the fuel filter. You could not blow through it, so he replaced it at the shop the next morning.
He found the print out from these forums I had on the passenger seat about how to adjust the throttle cable. He was unaware of the fact that it was adjustable thinking it was drive by wire....so while he had it at his house he adjusted it per the instructions that had been posted here. Wow, hard to specify what has made the difference, the new plugs, filters or the throttle adjustment but this thing screams like a scalded cat.
Funny, this guy has twenty plus years experience and he is the go to guy at this shop for older British cars (and luckily my cars), but he is raving about Jaguarforums and the wealth of information on these forums. Apparently spent a few hours poking around and was quite impressed.
