Default Looking for Trunk diode, part # 91AG10374BA

Hello,
Looking for a part.
I'm trying to get my trunk lights to work. I'm looking for the diode that is in nthe trunk near the battery on my '98 XK8.
Anyone have an extra or know where I can find one? I've searched Ebay but thought I could find someone here that may have a parts car with it in it.
(FYI, this is also an outside temperature sensor for Euro Focus and Fiesta)
Thanks,
Rob

First what is the problem you are trying to solve. The Jaguar external temp sensor is mounted in the front bumper. If you think it is bad a simple check will verify. Push the button on the A/C control panel for outside temp. It is close to known temp? If so the sensor is working.

I posted that my trunk lights are not working. I am looking for a diode which is part of the system that works the trunk lights. The other part is the micro switch at the lock.
I only mentioned the Focus is because the same part used on that model for a different job.
The part is used in both cars.
So, can you lead me to the part from a parted Jag?
It would be greatly appreciated.
Rob.

Default Another trunk light problem

ragjag1,

There’s nothing special about the diode, which seems available from Ford dealers too quite cheaply. Easy to bench check yours using a digital voltmeter.

See pic below.

My microswitch came from British Parts during my Trunk lights repair fiasco, which I didn’t need, so sent it to France to help another forum member. Still have spare diode but Bahrain postage to you will take months if you want it.

Soooo, any idea of the test? I have a voltmeter but have not much knowledge using it. I know how to test 12v items. Do you know how much this piece puts out? I know it can't be much.

Default Continuity test

Radjag1,

A diode allows current to flow One way only. If you set your meter to Ohms, it’ll measure resistance. Your meter may even beep if you have continuity ie put the two test probes together. The diode should have continuity 1 way and switching probes , it should have high resistance the other.

Lots of Youtube videos on the subject.
