I agree with CA, $15k is very strong for a FL XK8. We sold my brother-in-law's 2003 XK8 Convertible last November. It was an Amelia Island/JAX FL car with just over 100k miles. Original proper BRG/tax, good tires, brakes, top, cocoa mats and trinkets. Car was regularly maintained by dealer. Because it was an estate sale, we consulted the JAX Jag Club to provide informal appraisal. Sold it that day for $10k to a young lady on the island who was very happy to have it. It was a know quantity. Trust this will be helpful to you in deciding whether to take the plunge. BTW, i have two XKRs, 2001 and 2006, and both have been fairly trouble free. I had to replace the fuel pump in the 2001 about three years into my ownership and decided to do all of the hoses, alignment, filters, fluids etc at the same time. Work done by the local independent Jag shop. About $3k out the door. I wish our Mercedes could get serviced that cheaply. Good luck
