Default Loosing power steering fluid

Can you help, 2003 xk8 conv stored for the winter when I pulled it out of storage noise from power steering pump. Reservoir low filled it and power steering noise abated, steering is fine. No sign of leak on any hoses or on floor where stored or in my garage currently. Had to go somewhere.
Thanks in advance.

maybe it has been a slow lose over time and after sitting for so long this winter I assume it got low enough from sitting.

I had the same problem and it turned out the fluid was all inside one of the boots that cover the inner tie rod because the fluid was leaking through the seals between the rack and the tie rod. So I would check both sides and make sure there is no fluid in the boots.
