Default Loud knocking noise when warm

On the road trip I've started to hear loud knocking noice coming out of the driver's side head (lefthand car). Have any of you ever had something like that?
The sound and vibration coming from the middle of the head (where I am touching it)
If it were spun rod bearings I suppose that i'dd hear this noise when the engine cold as well

I linked the video:

Sounds too heavy for piston slap . I think you have no option but to take off the camshaft cover and check the valve clarences,,,,,Oil gets thinner when it gets hot . does this go away when you drive down the road or rev up?

No, the sound is sort of in the rhythm of revs. It's not going away when I drive. I thought that it was spun bearings because of that, but I've made 800km with this sound to come back home. Spun bearings should've locked my engine earlier than that. I thought about tensioners, but I think the sound would be apparent when the engine is cold in this case

Tdhe valve clearences want checking on that side and look at the lobes for wear.
A mechanics stethoscope may help .
it does have VVT

Yea sorry supercharged cars don't ahve VVC. Could be cams although it doesn't sound like it to me. Piston slap possibly or valve problem. It's worth getting it looked at properly by a mechanic although it likely includes stripping the engine or at least the heads.

Why would anyone think that you can get an answer from a mechanic? Left school at 16 with no qualifications. Was trained by other mechanics with same background. Any mechanic who is still in the job at 30 has no drive or ambition.
The worst ones leave and go work for the RAC or AA
Get it stripped at a garage ?? Oh yes then its immobile and you are in their incompetent hands unless you pay mega $$$$$$
The way forward with this vehicle is to isolate the area the noise comes from with a mechanics stethoscope and investigate that area . KI$$ and save $

Okay, it was loose ignition coil mounts. The sound comes from the ignition coils in this video

That's good to know, easy cheap fix instead of a buggered engine. In comparison anyway.
