Lowest mileage 2001 XKR
This has to be the lowest mileage 2001 XKR in existence. I don't think they'll get the price, but someone will get a virtually new car.

Unbelievable. Very Nice.
It's my car, blue and ivory '01 except it is the R model. I would love it, except the price is really too high. Might be low miles, but it will still need some maintenance before driving very far.
And why own a car like that just to hide it in a garage all those years?

Yep, low mileage is good, but, for a 12-13 year old car low mileage is not the only consideration. I wouldn't think there would really be much difference between the 4,200 miles and 25,000 or so, assuming that it had not been driven hard and well maintained. Now, I would see a significant difference between a 25,000 car and a 125,000 mile car.
I'd expect it to fetch somewhere about $10,000 less than he is asking, as has been stated.
Personally, I have always felt that the way that a car is driven and maintained is more important than just the mileage. Think of your grandmother putting 50,000 miles on a car, or then your 17 year old irresponsible grandson putting 30,000 on a car.
I'd take grannie's car every day.

Here's another one. How can these owners stand leaving them in the garage and not driving them? It's a baffling mystery to me.

Most 2001s still had the older generation plastic tensioners.
There is nothing at all wrong with the solid Merecedes tranny in the older XKRs, although the 6-speed with the later 4.2s gets a bit better mileage.

As written by Lorwood
On most of the Limited edition models they added just about every option available, as standard equipment. I believe certain markets, Japan comes to mind that they never installed the Nav System. Possibly because of the limited availability of maps, certain markets only received a handful of limited edition cars.
Steves right the Merc transmission is practically bullet proof. One of the reason Jaguar went to the six speed ZF was for cost cutting, instead of having two suppliers they were able to go to one.
Beautiful car. Don't like the seats, red inserts and the nav system. IMHO the three gauge set up is truly a design classic while the nav screen just looks like old technology.

Okay, if you can find a lower mileage XKR than the one below that isn't brand new, I'll eat it! This is unbelievable!!!
